Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon 100% pure vanilla
- 2 ½ cups gluten free flour mixture (Recommended brands, Cup 4 Cup, or Bob’s Red Mill 1:1)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips, semi-sweet or milk chocolate (Recommended brands, Nestle Toll House, Hershey’s, Guittard)
- 1 cup chopped nuts optional
Steps
Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
Cream butter and sugars together. Add egg and mix until mixture is fluffy, then add vanilla. Mix flour, soda and salt in a separate bowl with a whisk. Add to butter/sugar mixture and mix until combined. On low speed, gently mix in chocolate chips.
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Drop cookie mixture onto cookie sheet. Usually place 4 cookies per 3 rows of cookies per baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
After removing cookie sheet from oven, tap cookie sheet onto counter to flatten cookies. Cool cookies on sheet for 2 minutes before moving to cooling racks.
