Gluten Free Pop Corn Balls

These are soft gluten free popcorn balls. They never hardened up because of the added cream. You will absolutely love these gluten free popcorn balls so much you won’t be able to stop eating them!

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup popcorn kernels – unpopped
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup cream

Steps

Pop popcorn kernels in a popcorn popper of your choice or use popped popcorn from a bag. Place popped popcorn in a large bowl. Pick out thoroughly all unpopped kernels.

In a medium sized sauce pan combine all ingredients together: sugar, corn syrup, butter and cream.

On medium heat, bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly unitl mixture reaches soft ball stage on a temperature thermometer. Do not over heat past this stage. You want the syrup to hold together the popcorn ball together but you don’t want it to be hard. These are soft popcorn balls that melt in your mouth.

Add food coloring as desired.

Pour warm syrup over popcorn and mix throroughly. As mixture starts to cool, form popcorn into balls. Once completely cool, place into bags.
