Ingredients
- Marinade:
- 2 Tablespoons fresh garlic, minced
- 4 Tablespoons gluten free soy sauce, (Recommended brand San J Tamari sauce)
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 Tablespoons vinegar
- 2 pounds sirloin steak, sliced into strips
- 4 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 1 orange pepper, sliced
- 5 cups broccoli, cut
- 4 Tablespoons sesame seeds
- ¾ cups beef broth
- 2 cups brown rice, cooked
Steps
Whisk to combine marinade ingredients in a large bowl. Place steak in bowl and stir to coat. Marinate steak for 1- 8 hours.
In wok or heavy skillet, place 2 Tablespoon of olive oil, marinated steak, sliced onion and pepper. Cook on medium high for 2 minutes. Set aside in a covered bowl.
Add the remaining 2 Tablespoons of olive oil and add the broccoli and stir fry for 2 minutes. Add the broth and cover with a lid and steam for 2 minutes more.
Add the beef and veggies back to the wok or skillet and reserved marinade, sesame seeds and stir on medium high heat until everything is heated through – about 5 minutes.
Serve over brown rice.
